R.I.P. Terry Jones

We’ve lost another comedy legend today, Terry Jones. You know him from his time as a member of Monty Python playing Sir Bedevere and one of the repressed peasants in Monty Python and the Holy Grail (which could still be argued as one of the most important jokes in history) as well as Brian’s Mother in Life of Brian, and Cardinal Biggles from the Spanish Inquisition sketch.

What a lot of people don’t know (outside of the U.K.) was that he was a dedicated Medievalist who wanted to educate the masses about the Medieval world through documentaries like Terry Jones’ Medieval Lives.
